Frog eggs and corn….a famous Thai dessert.
OK so that’s a lie. It’s called Sakoo Khao Pod - สาคูข้าวโพด and consists of sweetened tapioca pearls and corn, and over this goes some coconut milk based sauce. These tapioca pearls just happen to be colored green, so they look pretty cool. The list of desserts from Thailand that are perfect for summer - Not too sweet, not too rich, and frequently served with shaved ice, includes pretty much EVERY native dessert. But for all the zillions of Thai restaurants in the states, it’s hard to find one that ventures in to the world of these satisfying sweets.
